Romanian stock indices end in the red, Electrica leads top-tier decliners
BUCHAREST (Romania), June 23 (SeeNews) – Romanian stock market indices ended lower on Tuesday thanks to electricity supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] led the prime decliners, according to data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
Total turnover for BVB’s regulated market shares was some 83.4 million lei ($18 million/€17 million) on Thursday, down from 27 million lei on Wednesday, the website said. from BVB. The turnover was boosted by a public offer of 104,085,853 shares of the investment fund SIF Oltenia [BSE:SIF5]with a total value of 62.5 million lei.
Electrica was the first blue chip decliner, losing 2.46% to 8.72 lei.
Banca Transilvania prime lender [BSE:TLV] fell 0.65% to 2.3050 lei in the largest trading turnover during the session, of 3.4 million lei.
Leading oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE: SNP] traded 0.42% lower at 0.4760 lei in the day’s second-highest turnover of 3.33 million lei.
First class investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP]vshare price amounted to 2 lei in the third largest turnover of the day of 2.9 million lei.

BET-XT tracks the price changes of the 25 most quoted companies on the BVB regulated market, including FIS.
BET-XT-TR is the total return version of the BET-XT index, which includes the top 25 Romanian companies listed on the BVB.
ROTX is an index developed by BVB in collaboration with the Vienna Stock Exchange. It tracks, in real time, the price changes of top-notch shares traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
BET AeRO is the first index for the AeRO market developed by BVB that reflects the price development of representative companies listed on the AeRO market that meet the criteria of liquidity and free-float market capitalization. It is a free-float, market capitalization-weighted index with a maximum weighting of 15% for an index constituent.
